AIF-C01 Exam Structure and Scoring
Overview of time limits, question counts, and unscored items
The AWS Certified AI Practitioner (AIF-C01) exam consists of 65 questions that must be completed within 90 minutes.
### Scored vs. Unscored Questions
Not every question on the exam counts toward your result:
- 50 questions affect your score.
- 15 questions are unscored and do not affect your score.
AWS includes unscored questions to collect performance data and evaluate them for future use as scored items. These unscored questions are not identified on the exam, so you should treat every item as scored.
### Scoring Rules
- Score Range: Results are reported as a scaled score between 100 and 1,000.
- Passing Score: The minimum passing score is 700.
- Unanswered Items: Unanswered questions are scored as incorrect. Because there is no penalty for guessing, you should always submit an answer for every question.
